And so it begins…

Sep 15, 2017

Yesterday we opened the doors to Workshop Early Access on iOS! We’re giving up to 500 people in the UK the opportunity to learn how to make macarons from master baker Edd Kimber. For just £5, Edd teaches you all the skills needed to replicate his prize winning macarons.

For the past 18 months, we’ve been building Workshop out of our little studio in London, and it’s now time to get the app into the hands of those that love to learn! We’re proud of what we’ve created and can’t wait to hear what you think.

Workshop was born out of our frustration with existing ways of learning new skills. It’s often impractical or expensive to go to an in-person lesson/workshop, and too many online courses exist which are low quality and un-engaging. We’ve created a new way of learning skills which is based on action, practice & experience before tackling the theory. By following an expert through step-by-step videos, Workshop helps you to learn by doing.

Feedback is so important to us during this launch as it helps us to continue to build and improve your learning experience.  We’d love to hear from all of you who join us on this journey so that, together, we can create the best possible platform for learning new skills.

Once we’ve squashed any bugs that may show their faces during the early access phase, we’ll launch Workshop on the iOS app store. Along with the release of the app, we’ll be launching a fresh batch of cooking related workshops.

As we grow, we’ll be listening closely to all of your feedback. We’ll do our best to create the workshops that teach you the skills you want most. So if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to draw? Or you’ve always wished you could juggle? Just let us know using the help widget and we’ll make it happen!

In the meantime, if you’d like to learn how to make macarons with Edd’s Master Macarons course, get in first to receive 50% off!
